I draw the covers, posters and labels people pick up first.

Most of my work starts with lettering. I sketch the words by hand, scan them and build the rest of the picture around them, which is why the type and the drawing tend to feel like one thing.

I work with publishers, small food and drink brands and venues. A typical project runs three to six weeks, from a first call to final files, with two rounds of sketches in between.

Teaching

I run a lettering evening class at a community print studio twice a year. Dates go up on the contact page when they are set.
